These are my 3 best pieces of work from my time at WCTC. They display my skills and challenges I had to face and overcome. I also have pieces of work from my time working at Rebel Haus, displaying my skills I have exercized.
Command Structure
Command Structure is a Magic the Gathering commander deck building website I have created for my Javascript class. In this site you are able to create your own decks and search for cards to put in those decks. The deck can be renamed and deleted, and cards can be added and deleted from decks as well. You must however create a profile on the website in order to create decks from the Add New Deck form. Your profile information and decks is stored in a Firestore database
Boardwalk Boardgames
Boardwalk Boardgames was created in my PHP class to demonstrate my skills and abilities in using PHP and the back-end of web development. In this site you are able to add and delete boardgames from the bitlamps database keeping track of the games. You are also able to view a list of orders made by different customers.
Author Website
The Author website was a project from my Wordpress class. This project was my introduction to using Wordpress for making websites. Wordpress is a platform that is another method of making websites by utilizing themes and plugins rather than just coding in a text editor.
Rebel Haus
In my time working for the company Rebel Haus I have learned and worked with Wordpress. I have used Wordpress to work on a wide variety of websites for clients ranging from yacht companies I enjoy using the Elementor plugin for editing on the platform. It is simple to use, fun to play around with, and effective editorial power in your fingertips. Some notable companies that I have worked with include: Mac Design, Royal Dames, and Gillen Yacht.
Mac Design
Mac Design was the first wordpress website that I have helped deploy onto the web. Mac Design specializes in creating engineering solutions as well as helping clients with architectural projects by including smart layouts, efficient permitting, and seamless project management to ensure that every stakeholder is aligned and every project is in motion. I used GoDaddy to serve as the host as well as the platform to deploy the website out to the public.
Gillen Yacht
Gillen Yacht is a family owned company that works on building and conducting maintenance on yachts and other marine vehicles. They have been around for 3 decades and have plenty of experience and trust with customers. Their technicians are highly advanced and skilled in the work they do and are always ready for challenges that come their way. I had a hand in updating as well as making some of the webpages for Gillen Yacht. The webpages I edited were the Home page, and the About Us page. The page I made for the website was the Shipstore page.
Royal Dames
Royal Dames is another one of Rebel Haus’s clients. Their goal is based on cancer research and developing fundraisers for it. Their history goes back over six decades with hard work, dedication and extensive research into finding a cure for cancer. When it came to working on the website, I was creating the upcoming event posts and past event posts. I also edited a number of webpages on the site including the Cancer Research page, About Us page, Home page, and a directory.
